OREANDA-NEWS From 5 December to 9 December, a 5-person delegation of the National Library Board, Singapore (NLB) led by Ms. Tay Ai Cheng, NLB vice present, visited the National Library of China (NLC).

On 5 December, Han Yongjin, NLC director, met with the delegation, and Sun Yigang, NLC deputy director, was also present. Han Yongjin reviewed the exchanges history between the two libraries in recent years, and introduced the NLC's general situation. Tay Ai Cheng showed thanks for the NLC's warm reception, and hoped that both libraries could further strengthen exchanges, learn from each other, and promote librarianship development together.

During the visit, the delegation held business exchanges with the NLC Coordination & Operation Management Division, NLC Stack Management & Reading Services Department, NLC Digital Resource & Service Department, NLC Ancient Books Library, etc., visited the National Museum of Classic Books, reading rooms, and the special collections of the Complete Library of the Four Branches of Literature. Besides, the delegation visited the First Historical Archives of China, the National Museum of China, the Palace Museum, and so on.
