OREANDA-NEWS. Analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian parc and determined that as of January 1st, 2017 in our country there are 3.5 million cars with right-hand drive. This is 8.3% of the total parc.

According to the results of the survey, over 80% of the parc of "right-hand drive" cars are concentrated in the regions of Siberia and the Far East (more than 1.4 million units in each of these districts), and the least (21 thousand) - in the North Caucasus. In the Urals there are 186,000 such cars, 132,600 cars - in the Central Federal District, 128,600 cars - in the Southern Federal District, 86,000 cars - in the Volga Federal District and 31,000 cars - in the Northwest Federal District.

But the share of cars with the "right-hand drive" in different districts is significantly different. For example, in the Far Eastern Federal District this figure is 73% (from a local parc). Only in this region, cars with the right-hand drive position occupy a dominant position.

As we move into the western part of the country, the situation is radically changing. If in Siberia the share of "right-hand" cars is 28%, then in the Urals - already 5%. In South district these cars occupy 3% of the local parc. In the North Caucasus, Volga and Central Federal Districts, they have 1% each. And in the parc of the North-West Federal District this indicator is completely below this level (0.7%).
