OREANDA-NEWS The Kazakhstan car assembly plant Asia Auto presented an electric version of the Lada Vesta sedan at the Expo 2017 international exhibition in Astana, reported the press service of Asia Auto. The electric modification of the sedan LADA Vesta is created on the platform of the car, mass-produced by the plant "Asia Auto" and presented to the public for the first time.

LADA Vesta EV (electric vehicle) is a high-grade sedan of class "B", equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 82 hp and a lithium-ion battery, recharged both at fast charging stations and in a household electric grid. The charging time from an ordinary electrical outlet is 9 hours, at a dedicated station - 80 minutes. In addition, recharging of the batteries also occurs due to regeneration during braking. The power reserve on one charge is 150 km. The cost of one kilometer of the electric vehicle's run is five times less than the petrol equivalent.

The electric motor immediately develops the maximum torque. Up to 100 km / h the sedan accelerates for 15,5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 140 km / h. The main advantages of Vesta EV are no harmful emissions, ergonomics, no noise, safety and affordable operating costs. A common platform with a gasoline prototype reduces the cost of construction and simplifies the service. The electric car does not use oil, oil and air filters, belts and other traditional consumables.

Vesta EV is equipped with a telematic device Connectedcars. The mobile application on the smart phone screen allows the driver to monitor remotely the technical condition of the car, start or stop the electric engine, open and close the doors, monitor the temperature, determine and transmit to the owner information about the location of the car (the system will warn the driver in case of speeding or traveling beyond the designated geo-zone).

The serial production of the gasoline version of LADA Vesta started in Ust-Kamenogorsk in December of 2016. Today the model is included in the TOP-10 of the best selling models of local assembly.
