OREANDA-NEWS. New rules on rendering postal services shall enter into force starting February 1, 2017. In this regard, a project promoted by the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications was approved by the Government.

According to new rules, the users shall have the possibility to send and receive money in foreign currency from other countries. Thus, there will be provided opportunities for the citizens working abroad.

At the same time, the document defines the responsibilities of the postal service providers. They have to ensure the quality of rendered services in compliance with standards and regulatory documents in force, as well as confidentiality and protection of users’ personal data.

The draft Government Decision was developed according to the Postal Communications Act and Universal Postal Convention (Doha Congress).
