OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2012. Three new visiting lecturers-practitioners have officially joined the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. They are top managers from leading international and Russian companies. From now on, in their spare time, they will be involved in both teaching SKOLKOVO programmes and developing new educational courses.

Mumin Azamkhuzhaev, CEO of Caterpillar Russia and the CIS, will be a lecturer-practitioner of leadership, operational effectiveness and strategy.

Dmitri Konash, Regional Director of Intel in the CIS, will be a lecturer-practitioner of strategy, innovations and leadership. In addition, he will give master classes on personal finance management.

Evgeny Plaksenkov, CEO, Venture Company RESII, Board Member, MIEL Holding and GALS-Development, will teach courses on corporate finance and financial assessment of projects.

Several of our guest speakers of recent years were considered for the position of lecturers-practitioners. The status of the position implies deep expertise in one of the school’s main subject areas (which include strategy, macroeconomics, finance, operational effectiveness, project management and others), many years of practical experience in senior managerial positions and outstanding teaching skills.

“I am sincerely glad that Mumin Azamkhuzhaev, Dmitri Konash and Evgeny Plaksenkov will be cooperating more closely with the school in academia,” said SKOLKOVO Dean Andrei Volkov. “In the future, the pool of lecturers and professors with practical experience will increase, because their participation in the programmes is particularly valuable for our students. These people can not only understand and systematically present the latest business theories, but also have already proven their effectiveness.
