OREANDA-NEWS. July 1, 2008. The exhibition presents more than 70 exhibits covering the period from the tenth to the twentieth century and devoted to the culture of the samurai nobility, which had an immense influence on the development of Japanese art in general. The exhibits include works of art continued national treasures and cultural heritage objects of particular importance, many of which were part of well known samurai clans’ collections or belonged to the imperial family.

On July 7–8, Mr Medvedev will visit Japan to take part in the G8 summit on the island of Hokkaido.
