OREANDA-NEWSThe international company LexisNexis made the first ranking of the mention of Russian businessmen in foreign media in 2019. The company's experts studied the mention of 89 Russians from the Forbes list of billionaires in English-language media around the world. The rating was headed by billionaire Roman Abramovich (9684 publications, more than half in the British media). LexisNexis noted that Abramovich’s name is mainly mentioned in connection with football - he is the owner of the Chelsea club.

Oleg Deripaska is almost half the leader (4,735 publications), including writing about him in connection with the partial lifting of US sanctions, as well as due to news about the possible deprivation of Cyprus citizenship. In third place is Mikhail Fridman (2894 materials). The total number of articles about these businessmen is greater than that of the other participants in the rating (a total of 20 people were included).

Also in the top ten are Vagit Alekperov, Victor Vekselberg, Pavel Durov, Mikhail Prokhorov, Leonid Mikhelson, Yuri Milner and Alisher Usmanov. At the same time, according to LexisNexis, Petr Kondrashev, co-owner of the Solikamsk Magnesium Plant, was in 11th place “unexpectedly for specialists”.
