OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 August 2016, the National Bank of Ukraine put into circulation commemorative coins to celebrate the 25th anniversary of independence of Ukraine:

-          a 250 hryvnia “25 Years of Ukrainian Independence” commemorative coin, which is made from gold;

-          a 20 hryvnia “25 Years of Ukrainian Independence” commemorative coin, which is made from silver;

-         a set of four commemorative coins made from German silver: “Kyiv Rus?, The Kingdom of Galicia, The Cossack State, and 25 Years of Independence of Ukraine”. 

All these coins were designed by Mr Volodymyr Taran, Mr Oleksandr Kharuk and Mr Serhii Kharuk.

All the “25 Years of Ukrainian Independence” gold commemorative coins ?  issued by  the NBU  will  be sold  through  auctions  to be   held by the   Universal   Commodity Exchange   “Contract   house   UICE?.

Today the first auction has been held, at which 50 gold commemorative coins have been offered for sale.

Before the beginning of the auction, NBU Deputy Governor Mr Yakiv Smolii told the bidders about the commemorative coins offered for sale.

A total of forty-five “25 Years of Ukrainian Independence” gold commemorative coins have been purchased through today's auction for a total of UAH 6.5 million. The maximum purchase price set through the auction was UAH 163,306 and the minimum price was 123,306.

Information on the upcoming auctions will be published in advance on the official websites of the NBU and the  Universal  Commodity Exchange  “Contract  house  UICE ˮ.       

Please note that a set of  commemorative coins made from silver and German silver “25 Years of Ukrainian Independenceˮ  can be purchased from   the  NBU regional offices and   branch offices   of distributor banks:   State Savings Bank of Ukraine JSC and UКRGАZBАNК JSB.
