Bank of Astana Steps Up equity
OREANDA-NEWS. Bank of Astana (Almaty), whose securities are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release:
"Bank of Astana announces increasing its equity by KZT10 bn by offering ordinary shares. Shareholders exercised their preemptive right to purchase said shares.
An increment of the 1st tier capital was part of the Bank's strategy and is aimed at improving the capital's sufficiency and its resistance to risks. Shareholders' decision was based on their efforts to support the growth of the Bank's business at a high level and synchronize the level of growing asserts with the equity in compliance with requirements of the regulator and international rating agencies".
