OREANDA-NEWS. According to the press service of the Moscow social development complex, health care costs in the capital in 2021 will grow by 12%, or more than 40 billion rubles. Also, spending on education will grow by almost 11 billion rubles.

The most important task of Moscow healthcare in 2021 will remain to maintain a high level of accessibility and quality of medical care in priority areas: prevention, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, high-tech care, as well as the implementation of measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, including the conduct of free mass vaccination of the population from the coronavirus.

Funding for the health sector will be significantly increased. For 2021, funds in the amount of 741.9 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. This amount includes funds from the Moscow budget in total with the funds of the CHI fund. This is 40.8 billion more than in 2020. In percentage terms, the growth of health care costs next year is 6%. For the implementation of the program "Metropolitan Health Care" at the expense of the budget of the city of Moscow, it is envisaged an increase in expenses by 12% to 447.1 billion rubles "

Now the government of the capital spends the budget allocated for health care to provide beneficiaries with free medicines and medical products in the amount of 45.7 billion rubles, the provision of high-tech medical care in the amount of 33 billion rubles, and financing the construction of new health facilities in the amount of 55.1 billion rubles. In addition, the budget provides for an increase in funding for measures to prevent infectious diseases, including vaccination of the population against COVID-19 in the amount of 10 billion rubles, as well as funding for activities under the program for the protection of mothers and children in the amount of 10 billion rubles.
