OREANDA-NEWS. In January-June 2019, in Russia, banks issued 146.1 thousand mortgage loans for transactions with new buildings worth 371.7 billion rubles, as calculated by the TsIAN according to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.  This is respectively 17% and 9% less than in the first half of 2018.  At the same time, 29% of them went to the capital regions (Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region).  Over the year, their share increased by 1%.

 Such results were shown by a comparison of the volumes of issuance for the first half of 2018 and for the first half of 2019.  In monetary terms, the issuance of housing loans decreased by 9 percent.  At the same time, as emphasized in the CIAN, negative mortgage dynamics was observed against the background of an overall increase in the number of housing transactions: the demand was largely provided by buyers who have the funds to fully pay the cost.

 Previously, specialists calculated the amount of family income that is comfortable for servicing an average mortgage loan.  It is 75.6 thousand rubles.  This indicator varies from region to region.  It is highest in Moscow (152.2 thousand rubles) and the region (112.5 thousand rubles), St. Petersburg (91.7 thousand rubles) and the Leningrad region (88.8 thousand rubles)  .
