OREANDA-NEWSIn Russia, in the first quarter of 2020, laptop sales increased by 21% compared to the same period last year, the Russian media reported with reference to GfK data.

The country sold 857 thousand laptops worth 34.6 billion rubles. According to GfK, in January and February, the market was at the same level as a year ago, and all growth was provided by the results of March, when sales grew by 68% year-on-year. At the same time, sales in March surpassed traditionally high December figures by 13.5%. 82% more gaming laptops were sold this March compared to March 2019. Compared to December, this figure increased by 20%.

The group M.Video-Eldorado reported that in the first quarter of 2020 they sold 790 thousand laptops worth 32 billion rubles. The retailer noted that compared to March last year, sales this month increased by 90%. The best seller is Asus laptops. According to Svyaznoy, in unit terms for the quarter, the share of Asus was 24%, Lenovo - 22%, HP - 21%. In monetary terms, Asus - 23%, Acer - 18%, Lenovo - 17%.
