OREANDA-NEWSRosneft's net profit attributable to its shareholders according to international financial reporting standards (IFRS) for the first nine months of 2019 increased by 25%, to 550 billion rubles. This was said in a statement. Net profit in the third quarter amounted to 225 billion rubles, which is 16% higher than the second quarter and is associated with a significant increase in operating profit, the company said. Revenue for nine months increased by 6.2%, to 6.45 trillion rubles.

Rosneft's capital expenditures for the first nine months decreased by 6.4%, to 634 billion rubles. The company noted that it continues to work on options to equalize the capital investment profile of large projects, taking into account the extension of quotas for production restrictions under the OPEC+ agreement.

In the third quarter, Rosneft's EBITDA amounted to 554 billion rubles, an increase of 7.6% in ruble terms compared to the second quarter. The increase in the indicator is associated with an increase in sales of petroleum products and oil in the markets where the company operates, as well as a decrease in general and administrative expenses, Rosneft said in a statement. EBITDA for nine months increased by 1.5% and amounted to 1.6 trillion rubles.
