OREANDA-NEWS The dollar and the euro are growing on the Moscow Exchange on Friday morning, the ruble is getting cheaper against the dual-currency basket due to the worsening external background due to the aggravation of the trade conflict between the US and China and information about new sanctions against Russia.

The first US dollar transactions were in the range of 64.44-64.7 rubles. At the end of the first minute of trading, the rate was 64.62 rubles. (+26.75 kopecks to the level of the previous close). The euro rose to 71.59 rubles. (+25.75 kopecks). The dual-currency basket ($ 0.55 and EUR0.45) went up by 26.3 kopecks to Thursday's closing level, to 67.76 rubles.

The dollar was 41.68 kopecks higher than the current official exchange rate, the euro - 1.1198 rubles higher than the official rate.

According to Interfax-CEA experts, the ruble is decreasing against the dollar and the euro at the start of trading, including due to information about the introduction of a second package of sanctions against Russia due to poisoning in Salisbury.

At the same time, the Politico publication, citing two American officials, reported that US President Trump signed a decree imposing sanctions on Russia for the incident with the poisoning of ex-GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in British Salisbury last March. Earlier, the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs called on Trump to move on to the second stage of the sanctions.
