OREANDA-NEWSRepresentatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office detained employees of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in the case of refinancing the "ABC Bank". This was stated in the message of NABU on Facebook.

"NABU and SAP arrested seven people on November 11 on suspicion of taking 1.2 billion hryvnia (more than $ 48 million) of the stabilization loan provided by the regulator in 2014 to PBC Bank, the report said. It's noted that the detainees are "Former and current officials of the NBU and VIA Bank".

A number of Ukrainian media reports that among the detainees is the former first deputy head of the NBU, and now the current head of the Raiffeisen Bank Aval board, Alexander Pisaruk. Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine, the court allowed the State Bureau of Investigation to force the former head of the National Bank Valeria Gontareva to be interrogated.
