OREANDA-NEWS. The Swiss non-profit analytical center 2B4CH plans to collect one hundred thousand signatures of «bitcoin-friendly» Swiss citizens in order to start public discussions and promote various legislative initiatives.

If the signature collection company is successful, one of the possible initiatives may be a proposal to make bitcoin one of the reserve assets of the Swiss Bank and reflect this in the country's Constitution — by amending paragraph 3 of Article 99 of the Swiss Constitution.
«The wording of the proposal could probably be simple: after the word «gold» add «and bitcoin (BTC)» to paragraph 3 of Article 99 of the Constitution», 2B4SN wrote on Twitter.

Earlier it was reported that Chedi Andermatt, a luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, began accepting payments in cryptocurrency, according to the Swiss newspaper Blick. The hotel in Andermatt, central Switzerland, supports Bitcoin and Ethereum payments. Hotel guests paying 200 Swiss francs or more can choose between BTC and ETH as a payment method.
