OREANDA-NEWSThe Spanish prosecutor’s office intends to interrogate businessman Mikhail Fridman about allegations that he resorted to the 2016 “economic siege” of the technology company Zed WorldWide (ZWW) in order to acquire it, while concealing its role. This was reported on Monday by the European business newspaper, which was able to get acquainted with the documents of the prosecution filed with the Spanish court.

In a submission to the court, the corruption prosecutor José Grinda González called the action against the Spanish ZWW “capture”. It was assumed that Friedman would appear in court on October 7, but the Spanish National Judicial Board decided to postpone testimony in a case involving bankruptcy of a technology company due to the businessman’s state of health.

The billionaire categorically, as the publication emphasizes, denies all the allegations, claiming that he did not try to acquire ZWW and didn't control the companies, which, according to the prosecutor, resorted to illegal actions.
