OREANDA-NEWS The European Union has decided to allocate financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €9 billion, Bloomberg reports, citing three European officials. It is noted that Kyiv will receive money as a loan for 25 years with a 10-year grace period.

"The new aid package for Kyiv will consist of 25-year loans with a 10-year grace period to repay the principal. Interest payments will be covered from the EU budget," the agency's sources said.

On June 23, it also became known that the United States will provide Ukraine with another package of military assistance in the amount of $450 million. It will include, among other things, four multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). This was announced by the coordinator for strategic communications of the National Security Council, John Kirby.

He also clarified that since February of this year, the United States has provided assistance to Ukraine for a total of $6.1 billion, and since the beginning of the work of the current White House administration - for $6.8 billion.

John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, emphasizes that the United States will not send troops to Ukraine, even if the fighting there drags on.
