OREANDA-NEWS. The number of individual entrepreneurs (PIs) in Moscow in the first five months of 2019 increased by 12.5% over the same period last year, the press service of the Capital Economic Policy Complex reported on Thursday.

The number of entrepreneurs is growing due to the national project “Small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual entrepreneurial initiatives.”  For them, there are certain benefits, including the rental of city property, transparent access to public procurement and information support, reported on the official website of the mayor of Moscow.

Small business is an enterprise based on the work of small enterprises, farms, cooperatives or activities without forming a legal entity.  In different countries, the concept of "small business" is determined by the amount of capital, turnover, or number of people employed in business.

"The Government of Moscow has created a system of preferences for individual entrepreneurs: direct financial support, benefits for leasing city property, transparent access to public procurement, information support, for the first time registered individual entrepreneurs there are two-year tax holidays," the press service of the Capital Economic Policy said.
