OREANDA-NEWS. The cumulative wealth of the richest entrepreneurs from Russia has decreased by $45.484 billion since the beginning of 2022. This follows from the new Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) rating.

In total, the BBI represents the 500 richest people in the world. There are 23 of them - Russians. As of May 2, they own a total of $328.04 billion.

The richest of Russians is Vladimir Potanin, CEO of the Russian mining and smelting company Norilsk Nickel. Since January 1, 2022, he has become rich by $645 million. His fortune was estimated at $31.5 billion.

In second place is Leonid Mikhelson, chairman of the board of directors of the Novatek oil and gas company. He lost $6.48 billion. The entrepreneur owns $26 billion.

The third was the owner of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, Vladimir Lisin. He lost $4.27 billion, but rose from fourth place. He has $23.7 billion at his disposal.

The co-owner of Novatek and the gas processing and petrochemical company Sibur, Russian and Finnish businessman Gennady Timchenko, lost the most. He is ranked ninth in the BBI rankings. His capital has decreased by almost $7 billion and now stands at $15.5 billion.

In early February, it was reported that since the beginning of 2022, the total capital of the 25 richest Russians from the top 500 of the BBI rating has decreased by more than $18 billion.
