OREANDA-NEWS The volume of loans to Russians in January 2019 increased compared to the same period a year earlier by 19%, and the number of loans issued - by 5%. This is stated in a press release of the Joint Credit Bureau.

"In January this year was issued more than 2.58 million of new loans with a total volume of 550,61 billion. The number of loans increased by 5%, and the volume of loans increased by 19% compared to January last year, when 2.46 million loans were issued by 463.81 billion rubles," the report said.

The leader in terms of growth in lending volumes last month were cash loans (an increase of 15%), and the volume of such lending increased by 36%. "In January 2019, 1.13 million cash loans were issued for a total amount of 298.12 billion rubles against 962.04 thousand loans for 219.87 billion rubles a year earlier. The average check for cash loans increased by 15%: from 229 to 263 thousand rubles," the credit Bureau said.

The number of new credit cards decreased by 2% year-on-year, and the amount of approved limits increased by 4%. At the same time, the number of new mortgages, the funds of which were actually transferred to the accounts of borrowers in January, showed a negative trend, falling by 10% year-on-year, but the volume of mortgage loans increased by 3%. Thus, last month, 65.29 thousand mortgage loans were issued for 140.41 billion rubles, and a year earlier - 72.81 thousand mortgages for 136.73 billion rubles.

The number of new car loans increased by 1%, the volume of loans increased by 14%. The number of new POS-loans decreased by 5%, and the volume of issuance increased by 1% compared to January 2018.

The statistics have been prepared by the Joint Credit Bureau on the basis of information from 600 lenders transmitting the data to the Bureau.
