OREANDA-NEWS. The company Twitter paid a fine of 3 thousand rubles, imposed by the court for failure to provide information about the localization of databases of Russian users.  This was reported on Thursday by the press secretary of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky.

 Previously, Twitter refused to provide Roskomnadzor with information on the localization of personal data of Russians and received a minimum fine of 3 thousand rubles.  Later, the head of Roskomnadzor announced a draft law on large fines for companies that do not comply with Russian legislation - up to blocking websites.  A similar initiative was made to the State Duma by United Russia deputies Viktor Pinsky and Daniil Bessarabov.

 Ampelonsky stressed that the fine was paid on July 26.
