OREANDA-NEWSThe volume of support for exports from the Russian Federation through the Russian Export Center (REC) for the nine months of 2019 amounted to $ 14.8 billion, said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the head of the REC Andrei Slepnev. “With regard to the work of the REC, for three quarters we supported Russian exports by $ 14.8 billion. This is a rather serious volume, almost 15% of all deliveries are thanks to insurance, financing and promotion mechanisms. About 8.5 thousand exporters supported”, said Slepnev, whose words are quoted in government materials.

The beginning of the second half of the year, he said, showed a "fairly active" increase in non-oil exports: in July, an increase of 14%, in August - by 8%, while the first half was "not just due to market factors - for metals, for wood , not such a high grain yield", said the head of the REC.

“The grain yield is absolutely normal”, Medvedev said in connection with this. According to Rosstat, in 2018, Russian farmers harvested 113.25 million tons of grain against a record 135.4 million tons a year earlier. According to the results of 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture predicts a grain harvest of 120 million tons.
