As noted, Zelensky also spoke about the problems Ukraine faced when trying to export its grain. According to sources, von der Leyen said that the EU will apply accelerated border crossing procedures to help Kiev in this matter.

Earlier, the EU Council agreed to allocate an additional €500 million for military assistance to Ukraine. In total, the assistance provided by the European Union has already reached €1.5 billion. The EU will continue to support the Ukrainian armed forces to protect the territorial integrity.
