OREANDA-NEWS. The organizing committee of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing will allow athletes vaccinated with Russian vaccines to participate in the competition. TASS was informed about this in the organizing committee of the Games.

"All vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization, relevant international organizations, as well as officially approved by countries or regions, will be accepted, so Russian vaccines are acceptable," the organizing committee said.

Four vaccines against coronavirus infection have been registered in Russia: Sputnik V and Sputnik Light of the Gamaleya Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Epivakkoron developed by the Vector Center of Rospotrebnadzor, as well as Kovivak, created by the Chumakov Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing from 4 to 20 February 2022. Earlier it became known that foreign fans will not be allowed on them. Only local residents will be able to get to the stands.

On Monday, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that WHO has no complaints about the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. The organization was asked by the accompanying documents. They have already been completed and sent to WHO.
