OREANDA-NEWSVice-President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Victor Montagliani said that all the matches of national teams scheduled for this fall can be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“It will not be easy to hold meetings, the main problem is the organization of international flights. National leagues remain a priority. The option to resume full-fledged work by September is still valid, but given the current situation, I don’t think the chances are high", Montagliani said. As the FIFA vice president noted, he doubts that spectators will be allowed into the first matches after the break caused by the coronavirus.

In March 2020, the Russian team was to hold friendly matches against the teams of Sweden and Moldova, in June - against the teams of Poland and Serbia. All these games were postponed indefinitely. In addition, the European Championship was postponed for a year - the continental championship will be held in the summer of 2021. However, the second draw of the League of Nations should begin in the fall.
