OREANDA-NEWS. According to the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR), Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva will be able to compete at the final, fifth stage of the Russian Figure Skating Cup due to coronavirus infection.

As explained in the Federation, the test results for COVID-19 of the athlete gave a positive result, for this reason she is forced to miss the upcoming competition. The Russian Cup stage will be held at the Megasport arena in Moscow on December 5-8.

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva is the 2015 world and European champion. She also has a bronze medal at the 2013 European Championship, a silver medal at the 2015 World Team Championship and a bronze medal in 2019. She is the winner of the Grand Prix final of the 2014/15 season and the bronze medalist of the 2018/19 season. In 2013 she became the champion of Russia.

This is not the only figure skater who is forced to miss the fifth stage of the Russian Cup due to infection with COVID-19. European figure skating champion Dmitry Aliyev will also not perform at the fifth stage of the Russian Cup due to a positive test for coronavirus.
