OREANDA-NEWS. Formula 1 has published on its official website a calendar of the first part of the 2020 season, which did not start on schedule because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Currently, the calendar consists of eight races that should take place behind closed doors and in accordance with the most stringent safety rules. The statement of the association says that due to the ongoing volatility of the situation with coronavirus spread, Formula 1 will finalize the details of the full calendar and hopes to publish them in the coming weeks, expecting to hold 15–18 races before the season ends in December. It is also noted that in future fans will be able to visit the competitions.

The calendar of the first eight races of the Formula 1 championship of the season of 2020 is the following: July 3–5 (Austria), July 10–12 (Austria), July 17–19 (Hungary), July 31 – August 2 (Great Britain), August 7–9 (Great Britain), August 14–16 (Spain), August 28–30 (Belgium), September 4–6 (Italy).
