OREANDA-NEWS. Russian women Dina and Arina Averina will take part in the upcoming world championship in rhythmic gymnastics, which is scheduled for October this year. On the eve, the Olympic champion of Tokyo, Israeli Lina Ashram, refused to participate in it.

It is recalled that, according to the results of performances in the individual all-around, Dina Averina became the second, Arina - the fourth. Russian "artists" were left without gold for the first time in the previous 25 years. The head coach of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team, Irina Viner-Usmanova, called the refereeing a "shame".

The participation of the sisters was confirmed by the head coach of the Russian national team and the president of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova. She said that the composition of the Russian national team in comparison with the Olympic Games will not undergo changes.

"The composition is the same as at the Olympic Games: two people in the individual program of Sister Averina, God bless them. Anastasia Mikhailova and Anastasia Tatareva will not participate in the group exercise. Instead, Karina Metelkova, Maria Tolkacheva and Polina Orlova."

"Also in the composition will be Angelina Shkatova, Anastasia Bliznyuk, Alisa Tishchenko and Olga Karaseva," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships will take place from October 27 to 31 in Kitakyushu, Japan.
