OREANDA-NEWS. The first Russian UFC champion Oleg Taktarov tried to kill in Mexico. The former fighter said this in a live broadcast on Instagram, snippets of which were published by Sport-Express' YouTube channel Ushataika. Taktarov was beaten up after a conflict with hotel security. His life is now not in danger.

"They tried to kill me. And I didn't die. They tried to strangle me and I didn't suffocate. They had already robbed me - they took everything out of my pockets. And the things on the card were taken away by the police afterwards,"- said Taktarov.

The former fighter also expressed dissatisfaction with the Mexican police, saying they tricked him into paying for his life instead of saving him.

"I have never had a similar situation anywhere - not in Russia, not anywhere,"- he said. - "I have never been tortured or tried to strangle in my life. And I have never been turned in to the police. Because I could not say anything. Not that they didn't - the police just came and took me away. I thought they were rescuing me, but they also tricked me for money. Of course, it's a wonderland,"- the former UFC champion added.
