OREANDA-NEWS. The amount of Russia's compulsory contribution to the budget of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in 2021 is almost twice the amount determined for China. This was reported by the TASS agency on the basis of the available WADA documents.

According to information previously received by TASS from the WADA press service, the amount of Russia's contribution to the agency's budget in 2021 will be $ 1,091,877.

The same amounts as Russia will have to be paid to the WADA budget in 2021 by four more European countries - Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy. China, which is the most populous country in the world, has to pay almost half as much - $ 561,288.

The USA has to make the largest contribution to the WADA budget. The contribution of this country is $ 2,931,923. The second place is taken by Japan, which needs to be paid $ 1,502,800, and the third place in the amount of the contribution to the World Anti-Doping Agency belongs to Canada - its contribution is $ 1,465,962.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, Russia was represented by 286 athletes, while China fielded 412 athletes. 436 Russian athletes and 396 Chinese athletes competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
