OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian national team won gold in the group all-around at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan.

In exercises with three hoops and two pairs of clubs, as well as five balls, the Russians scored 88.350 points. The Russian team was represented by Anastasia Bliznyuk, Polina Orlova, Angelina Shkatova, Alisa Tishchenko, Maria Tolkacheva.

The second place was taken by the Italian team (86,000), the bronze by the national team of Belarus (85,400).

After the first performance of the Russians, it seemed that the series of scandals could continue, but the second appearance of our group was simply inimitable. With balls, the Russian athletes were so great that even skeptical judges could not give low marks.

Olympic champions of 2016 Anastasia Bliznyuk and Maria Tolkacheva, silver medalists of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo Angelina Shkatova and Alisa Tishchenko, as well as debutants: 18-year-old Polina Orlova and 16-year-old Olga Karaseva - all won gold at the World Championship. And not one, but two at once! Indeed, on Friday, according to the results of all qualifications, the results of the team competitions were also summed up. Russia, of course, became the first. And Dina Averina on her day off was able to repeat the world record of the outstanding Evgenia Kanaeva - 17 gold medals at the world championships. Tomorrow Dina Averina will have a chance to improve this achievement.

Gold in group all-around is not the only one today. The fact is that according to its results, the winner of the team championship at the World Championship - 2021 was determined. These gold awards were also taken by the Russians. Dina Averina thus became a 17-time world champion and repeated the record of the magnificent two-time Olympic champion Evgenia Kanaeva.
