OREANDA-NEWS. The deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a bill on the introduction in Russia of a system for identifying spectators at sports matches — FAN ID passports. There are 317 deputies voted for the adoption of the document, 69 — voted against it, four parliamentarians refused to participate in the vote.

The text of the bill states that there will be a fixed list of sports events, when visiting which fans will need to have a FAN ID. This list of competitions will be determined by the government.

The Fan Identification System (FAN ID) was created and operated by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation during the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2017.
