OREANDA-NEWS. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) does not intend to postpone the 2020 championship because of the coronavirus outbreak. This was reported by TASS news agency with reference to a statement by the press service of the Union.

It was said that the organization is in constant contact with international and local authorities on the issue of coronavirus and its spread. At present, UEFA leadership considers that there is no need to change anything in the planned schedule of the tournament.

On February 25, UEFA Vice President Michele Uva allowed the cancellation of Euro 2020, if the situation with the coronavirus’ spread gets out of control.

The European football championship will be held from June 12 to July 12 in 12 cities located in 11 countries.
