OREANDA-NEWS. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has completed an investigation related to 298 Russian athletes and transmitted information on these cases to 28 anti-doping organizations (27 international sports federations and 1 organizing committee of a tournament). This was reported on the official website of the WADA.

It is noted that sportsmen fell under suspicion during the verification of data from the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory.

In December 2019, the WADA Executive Committee decided to ban Russia from participating in major international competitions for fraud with a database of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory. The Russian side appealed the decision with the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Later, the hearings over this case were postponed because of the outbreak of coronavirus infection.
