OREANDA-NEWS. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has temporarily suspended the license of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory.

This is stated on the organization’s website. The laboratory is forbidden to do analysis of blood samples according to the Athlete Biological Passport program. The decision takes effect immediately. It will be in force until the end of the “formal disciplinary action.” According to the report, WADA experts on January 21, recommended the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Witold Banka, to suspend the license and he “agreed to do so with immediate effect.”

The head of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency, Yury Ganus, called this decision predictable. According to him, now it will be necessary to carry samples to foreign laboratories.
