President of Ukraine and Prime Minister of New Zealand conducted first negotiations at highest level in history of bilateral relations
The parties noted the importance of the first meeting at the highest level in the history of relations between Ukraine and New Zealand and confirmed willingness to enhance bilateral relations.
Petro Poroshenko thanked John Key for the firm stance of New Zealand in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as condemnation of Russian aggression against our country.
The President drew attention to the necessity of expanding the legal base of relations. It was agreed to intensify work over the draft agreements on investment protection and avoidance of double taxation.
The two leaders discussed the intensification of interpersonal contacts and prospects of mutual simplification of visa requirements.
The Prime Minister of New Zealand invited the Ukrainian President to visit his country at a convenient time.
