OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2016. The Government of Canada acknowledges that innovation—the development of new technologies and processes or the adoption of new management models—plays a critical role in today’s global economy.

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, R?mi Mass?, Member of Parliament for Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matap?dia, announced that the Centre de d?veloppement et de recherche en imagerie num?rique (CDRIN) has been granted \\$20,000 in financial assistance, in the form of a non-repayable contribution, to organize the Rendez-vous de l’innovation de l’Est-du-Qu?bec.

The financial assistance was granted under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) and will enable the digital research and development centre to bring together eastern Quebec’s innovative businesses for the first time.

The goal of the project is to foster innovation and increased productivity in eastern Quebec enterprises through knowledge transfer and new linkages among some 15 research and development centres in Quebec and the enterprises themselves.
