OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2016. Tourism provides an excellent opportunity for economic development in Canada. The Government of Canada’s support for a tourism project in Mont-Laurier reflects its willingness to support actions that generate substantial economic benefits in the Laurentides region.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, announced that the Super 8 Mont-Laurier has been granted \\$300,000 in financial assistance to improve the quality of accommodation options in the Laurentides region.

The repayable contribution was granted under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) and will be used to increase the number of rooms rented out by the establishment and modernize its facilities through the purchase of equipment, accessories and furniture.
