OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2017. Accenture Federal Services (AFS) today announced that the U.S. federal government has awarded FedRAMP authorization to the Accenture Insights Platform for Government (AIP for Government). The secure, cloud-based platform provides federal agencies with leading pre-integrated data access, analytics and visualization capabilities, which can be used to create and deploy analytics-driven solutions quickly and at lower cost.

AIP for Government is an industry specific configuration of Accenture’s patented AIP platform. It provides government agencies with pre-built solution frameworks, accelerators, and stacks of commercial and open source technology resources. Already employed by more than 100 enterprises globally, it lowers the risk of technology selection and provides governments with proven, scalable and secure commercial solutions. The platform’s pricing model eliminates the need for large up-front investments; users pay for what they use and can scale up or down over time.  AIP for Government is supported by a U.S.-based AFS team, which provisions, manages and securely maintains each client’s unique IT environment.

“The Accenture Insights Platform for Government redefines the role that analytics plays within federal agencies,” said David Moskovitz, Accenture Federal Services’ chief executive officer. “The FedRAMP authorization allows our federal clients to readily take advantage of the most advanced analytics as a fully supported service that can transform their data into actionable insights to improve performance and outcomes. Combined with our deep technical and subject-matter expertise, AIP for Government enables agencies to rapidly develop and scale solutions that deliver significant impact at a lower total cost of ownership.”

FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach for assessing, authorizing and continuously monitoring the security of cloud products and services. In 2016, the Accenture Federal Cloud ERP solution also earned this critical federal cloud security designation.

AIP for Government’s successful assessment was conducted as part of FedRAMP Connect. Based on the input of a panel of federal chief information and chief technology officers, this new program identifies the most promising cloud-based technologies with government-wide applicability for accelerated review and authorization.  AIP for Government was granted a Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) at the Moderate Level by the Joint Authorization Board (JAB).
