OREANDA-NEWS. A group of 27 militants surrendered to Syrian government forces and spoke about US assistance in combat training and organizing sabotage.

This was reported on April 15 by the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria, Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlyov. According to him, a day before, a detachment of militants tried to get out of the Al-Tanf zone, but was attacked by US-controlled gangs. As a result, only 27 people were able to break through and surrender to the Syrian military.

The fighters surrendered dozens of small arms, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns of Western manufacture. According to the militants, the weapons were provided by the Americans. As Zhuravlyov noted, they were trained in the area of ​​the American camp Rukban. Surrendered persons said that they were trained by instructors from the United States to organize sabotage at the facilities of the oil, gas and transport infrastructure of Syria, as well as terrorist attacks.
