OREANDA-NEWS. According to Daria Yegorova, senior researcher at the Laboratory of Genetic Engineering of Pathogenic Microorganisms of the Gamaleya Research Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, no serious adverse reactions to the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine and deaths from the drug have been identified during post-registration tests.

"We have confirmed the high safety of the vaccine, we have not registered a single vaccine-associated serious side effect and not a single death that can be associated with the use of the vaccine," Yegorova said.

The Russian Ministry of Health registered the Sputnik V vaccine in August 2020, and developed a new drug for the coronavirus of the Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry and Technology. This vaccine was the first in the world to prevent COVID-19. Sputnik V is built on the well-studied and proven platform of human adenoviral vectors. The main advantages of the drug are proven safety, efficacy and the absence of long-term negative consequences. According to studies, the effectiveness of "Sputnik V" is above 90%, the vaccine provides complete protection against severe cases of coronavirus.
