American Base in Northern Iraq Was Attacked with a Missile
OREANDA-NEWS. Unknown forces launched a missile at the K1 base, which is located near the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
According to Sky News Arabia news channel, citing sources among the Iraqi military, this base is used by US troops, as well as Iraqi police.
There is no official information about victims.
Al Arabiya channel reports that while searching near the base after the strike, a launch pad with several shells was found.
Navres Valid Hamid, an American civil servant, native of Iraq who received US citizenship, was killed at the K1 base on December 27 last year. His death became a reason for US President Donald Trump to order the destroying of the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani, at the international airport of Baghdad.
