OREANDA-NEWS. Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine/Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska took part in a visit of Ukrainian delegation headed by Vice-Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium.

Monday, May 23, Trade Representative of Ukraine together with members of the delegation met with the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan, EU Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmstr?m, Vice-President of the EC in charge of the Euro and Social Dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis.

During the meetings the Parties discussed topical issues of trade cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, deepening collaboration between Ukraine and the EU, future cooperation between the EU institutions, in particular, the European Commission and relevant institutions in Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration confirmed the European integration aspirations of Ukraine, with the focus on the implementation of the trade section of the Association Agreement, which is been implemented in full by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

The sides reaffirmed their intention to intensify the sector dialog and to build cooperation in industry. Moreover, other components of such dialogue were tackled, inter alia, further liberalization of conditions for trade and cooperation between the two parties. The European Commission accentuated the positive dynamics of the dialogue regarding implementation of a FTA with the EU.

In turn, the EU Commissioners urged Ukraine to join the Regional Convention of pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin and highlighted interest in holding a business forum in Brussels.
