WTCA Board of Directors appointed Scott D. Ferguson as the new CEO

World Trade Centers Association, Inc. (WTCA), the leading international trade association with World Trade Center Members around the world, has named Scott D. Ferguson its new Chief Executive Officer.

World Trade Center Moscow welcomes the new WTCA CEO and wish him prosperity and great success!

A senior executive with a concentration in building sustainable business models, Ferguson brings more than 30 years of experience in international business and the WTC Network to the role. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Trade Centre Limited, an Atlantic Canadian organization that operates "World Trade Center Halifax" in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Ferguson received international and national recognition for his ability to innovate and foster organizational growth, most notably with the development of the largest convention center in Eastern Canada, the Halifax Convention Centre. He was also the lead in developing an operational model for the World Trade Center Halifax, which has been part of WTCA's Member network since 1985.

WTCA's Chairman, Ghazi Abu Nahl, said Ferguson's appointment "will help bring new perspectives on international trade services and project development, rooted in decades of experience with the WTC Network and in managing a World Trade Center operation".

Ferguson holds an MBA from Saint Mary's University (Canada), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Acadia University (Canada), and an ICD.D Designation from the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors. He has been a guest speaker on business strategy at regional and international industry events.

"I am very excited to take on this leadership role with the WTCA, and to work closely with the WTCA Board to build on our success as an international business development organization," said Ferguson. "We have an incredible opportunity to lead trade and development initiatives worldwide at a time of unprecedented change in the global economy".

Ferguson will assume his CEO responsibilities on June 6 at WTCA's headquarters in New York.
