OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas will be on a working visit to Poland today in order to prepare the NATO Summit that takes place in Warsaw in July together with Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Beata Szydło.

At the Summit, Estonia and Poland aim to increase the presence of NATO allied forces in the region and perpetuate the activities that were approved at the Wales Summit in September 2014, such as reinforced air policing from Ämari, significantly more joint exercises, the improvement of NATO rapid response forces, and the presence of the army of the United States of America.

The meeting will also focus on the European Council taking place in June with its main topics being the United Kingdom’s European Union membership referendum, the issue of migration, and the digital single market.

In addition, the Prime Ministers discuss the establishment of the Rail Baltic and a common electricity network.
