OREANDA-NEWS. The official information center of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reported that on October 29 airstrikes were carried out by the Azerbaijani Air Force on the city of Martakert, and air raids were also on in Askeran and Martuni.

It is reported that the enemy used military aviation in the attack on the city of Martakert, after that there is destruction, but there are no civilian casualties.

It is noted that in addition to Martakert, air raid sirens were activated in Martuni and Askeran.

The fighting on the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh began on 27 September. Armenia and Azerbaijan accuse each other of unleashing hostilities, in Karabakh they report artillery shelling of peaceful settlements of the unrecognized republic, including its capital, Stepanakert. Armenia has declared martial law and for the first time a general mobilization, claiming that Ankara is actively supporting Baku. Partial mobilization was introduced in Azerbaijan and martial law was introduced in a number of places. The leaders of Russia, the United States and France called on the opposing sides to stop clashes and to commit themselves to start negotiations without preconditions.

The US State Department announced the reached humanitarian ceasefire from 7.00 Moscow time on October 26, and this was the third attempt to conclude a truce, but after that the parties to the conflict declared that the enemy did not comply with it.
