OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus has filed more than 400 lawsuits to recover over $ 130 million of overdue debts owed to Belarusian enterprises from Russian counterparts, Belarusian Prosecutor General Alexander Konyuk said in Moscow on Monday after a meeting at the Belarusian Embassy on the elimination of overdue receivables. “More than 400 lawsuits amounting to more than $ 130 million have been filed. We have managed to return more than $ 100 million to the state’s commercial turnover”, said the prosecutor general, quoted by the News Agency.

According to the Prosecutor General, law enforcement agencies managed to stop the "process of creating the so-called fraudulent structures". "They already know that law enforcement agencies are doing this, so business entities no longer risk doing this", said the head of the supervisory authority. He informed that over the past 5 years, more than 100 criminal cases have been initiated, most of which are related to the criminal activities of Belarusian representatives of distribution networks. Konyuk stated that "receivables are declining".
