OREANDA-NEWS. All enterprises of the real sector of the economy in Belarus work normally. This was reported by the state news agency BelTA with reference to the press service of the government. “Production has not been stopped, as some Telegram channels inform,” the statement says.

Earlier, the Belarusian media reported that strikes and mass protests began at the enterprises of the republic. According to Radio Liberty, at the plant Grodno Azot about 100 people refused to take the morning shift, the security forces began to detain workers. These data were denied by the press secretary of the concern Belneftekhim, Alexander Tishchenko. He said that the plant is working as usual.

It was also reported about strikes at the Minsk Tractor Works, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant and Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant. An employee of the latter, Sergey Makarov, told RBC news agency that 60 people attended a rally, but later the workers dispersed.

Telegram channel NEXTA informed that the strikes were supported by workers of the Minsk plant of the company Integral, the builders of Lazurit, as well as employees of the household appliances plant Atlant and the agricultural complex Dzerzhinsky.

A day before, the leader of the Belarusian opposition Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya announced a nationwide strike on October 26.
