OREANDA-NEWS. Bolivian President Evo Morales reiterated his country's intention to purchase Russian military equipment, particularly helicopters.

"The air force recommends the purchase of equipment from Russia, civil defence, because floods and natural disasters", he said in an interview with Morales.

Morales on Thursday arrived in Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader said about the great potential for deepening economic ties between the two countries.

Predecessor Maduro, the late President Hugo Chavez, has laid a good Foundation for the security of Venezuela bought from Russia, among other weapons, 23 su-30MK2. Despite stiff threat to the Caracas, Washington has not launched a military operation.
